چکیده
Abstract This study was conducted to investigate the prevalence of subclinical mastitis and its contagious environmental bacterial causes in dairy cows Jos Metro polis Plateau State. A total 208 milk samples were collected aseptically from 52 lactating subjected California Mastitis Tests (CMT). Milk transferred into peptone water broth for enrichment, followed with bacteriological assays biochemical identification bacteria. Using R Commander version 3.6.2, data such as: breed, age, parity, lactation, management system collected, analysed determine their relationship bovine mastitis. Out quarter cows, 35.09 % showed While Cross-breed had 15 recorded, White Fulani 78.13 %. Cows age 3 5 years highest mastitis, while 4 6 calves parity category. The early lactation stage these prevalence. bacteria isolated where E. coli, K. pneumoniae, oxytoca, C. freundii, aerogenes, Proteus sp. coli having frequency 40.86 %, by Pneumoniae 17.79 S. aureus, agalactiae, Corynebacterium aureus occurring most 69.71 concluded that is high area. It also discovered breed cow, number, husbandry systems have an impact on frequency, indicated microbes more effect than microbes.

Characteristics of staphylococci isolated from clinical and subclinical mastitis cows in Shahrekord, Iran
Staphylococci isolated from 98 mastitic cow’s milk samples were analyzed for the production of alpha, beta and delta-hemolysin on sheep, bovine and horse red blood cells and in vitro susceptibility to several antimicrobial agents. Out of a total of 18 isolated strains, 100% demonstrated hemolytic activity either alone or in combined forms. Among 8 isolates of S. aureus 3 isolates produced α/β an...

The present study aimed to estimate the effects of parity, calving season and year of calving on the prevalence of subclinical mastitis in Holstein cows. A total of 2682 records from 869 Holstein cows in a large dairy farm (Azarbaijan province, Iran), respecting the period from 2006 to 2009, were collected. Data was analyzed using Proc Mixed of SAS software by MIVQUE method. Subclinical mastiti...
متن کاملThe effect of subclinical mastitis on milk composition in dairy cows
Milk samples were collected from quarters of 35 cows with subclinical mastitis (California mastitis test [CMT] positive and somatic cell counts [SCC] >500,000 cells/ml in individual quarter foremilk), as well as from 37 healthy controls. Compared to the levels observed in milk from healthy quarters, milk from quarters with subclinical mastitis showed elevated sodium (91.97 vs 52.93 mg/dl), chlo...
متن کاملSubclinical mastitis and intra-mammary infections in Swedish beef cows
Background In beef cows, milk production is the most important factor affecting calf growth. Thus, factors that limit production has negative effects on calf weaning weight. Mastitis is a disease, which reduces milk production and is often associated with bacterial intra-mammary infection (IMI). Studies from UK and USA indicate that subclinical mastitis and/or IMI significantly affects calf wea...
متن کاملFractionized milk composition in dairy cows with subclinical mastitis
Mastitis is the inflammatory reaction of the udder to invading pathogens. One of the most apparent reactions is the increased influx of immunoreactive cells from blood into milk inducing a dramatic increase of milk somatic cell counts (SCC). We have investigated (i) the relationship between log SCC/ml in infected quarters being >6 (n = 8, group I) or varying between 5.4 and 6 (n = 8, group II) ...
